  I was originally going to post about the site mentioned in the above link (status.metafilter.com) because Matt had said he was going to use that site as a Mefi status blog in the future. However, status.metafilter.com is returning a 404 as I type this, so perhaps plans have changed.

    The bad news: This morning MetaFilter appears to be down again.
    The good news: The status weblog appears to be back.
    The bad news: No information on the current status of MeFi on the status weblog :)
