TRIBE.net as FPP?

Hey everyone... I'm really enjoying the TRIBE.net community, and think it would make a killer FPP... not just our tribe, but the entire project...


But I don't want to do it myself, as, well... my FPP are cursed. Anyone with some gravitas wanna post it? I searched and didn't see it already listed.

      Good idea - I would do it, but my posts are also cursed. The best I hope for when posting something is to be criticised for lameness. Often it is even worse, as I sit in front of my computer for hours refreshing the page to see if anyone even noticed :-(

    I've been trying to compose tribe.net as an FPP but can't get away from anticipating the snarky "so it's Friendster 2.0" comments. I was thinking of making a MeTa post for announcing the MeFi Hospitality Index thing, but that seems unrelentingly ... uh, what's the buzzword?

    Oh, yeah, autofellatic. So ... what to do? What distinguishes tribe.net from similar sites? Silus you seem to be pretty plugged into the vibe here ... I'll make an FPP about this place with no problem, but need a little help here...

      OK, here's a suggestion or two. We (& in this case we are probably looking at our moderator to be 'we') make contact with Matt & ask for:
      1. A listing on the Etc. page on MeFi along with all of the other spin-off sites,
      2. A mention in the sidebar, and
      3. Permission to make an FPP - probably including extra links, Frienster, battle of the networks, yadda yadda.

      The big selling point of mefi.tribe.net as far as MeFi proper is concerned is that it will take away a lot of what some folks consider background noise & general jabber.
